Happy Wednesday! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween! We did, and now everything here and Central Florida has flipped right over to Christmas! It’s crazy how fast that happens! Let’s catch up for the week!
We had a low-key Halloween in our house on Wednesday. It was our first Halloween in this house so we weren’t sure how many trick-or-treaters that we would get. So the boys and I waited and passed out candy, with Hocus Pocus on in the background of course! It was quiet but good! The next morning I started getting messages that the Magic Kingdom already started their decorating for the holidays! They move quick! Truthfully I didn’t mind though because it had been Halloween here since mid August so I’m ready! I wasn’t able to get over to the park to see the decorations last week, as we were pretty busy. I was invited by Rob Lake, who’s an illusionist and was performing at the Hard Rock Orlando, to come see his show on Friday. I was pretty excited that his people reached out to me, and invited me to come out and see the show. The weather was pretty bad on Friday night, but we headed out in the rain regardless, and got to the show on time. Rob really puts on a great show, and I was honored that he asked me to be there. He actually is a big Disney fan, that’s how he knew of TMSM. We are hoping to do a collaboration of sorts the next time he’s in town so stay tuned!
On Saturday we worked most of the day, at least till about five in the afternoon. My older son wanted to meet friends at Disney Springs, there was a concert going on and it was his friends Birthday, so we headed up there. While he was at the concert, we walked around, had dinner, and ran into some friends. Disney Springs is also in the Christmas spirit already, with merchandise everywhere and lights on the palm trees. So pretty! My friend Lindsey suggested that we go get some ice cream and my younger son tried out the new Mickey Mouse birthday sundae! He loved it.
The weather was nice and cool and we all had a really good evening!
This week has of course been pretty busy, there’s always so much going on. My friend John and I were asked to participate in a podcast for the Orlando Sentinel, so we recorded that on Monday. Tomorrow night I have a media event at Disney Springs, and Friday is family media night for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I’m looking forward to both! I know that some say it’s too early for all this Christmas fun, but to me I think it’s pretty great. We started decorating a little bit of Christmas around the house as well. My parents will be here for Thanksgiving and I’d love to have the house decorated nice for them. Two weeks after that my friends will be in town for the big meet up, so early decorating seems to make sense! The boys don’t mind it either!
Well… that’s it for this week. I hope you will follow along on our social media for the Christmas coverage tomorrow and Friday. I am also going to try to get more footage on Saturday evening so stay tuned. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! -M
