Tackling the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream

If you are a true Disney fan and a Disney Foodie, then you have certainly heard of the Kitchen Sink.  Now I’m not talking about the little one at Magic Kingdom in the cute little Mickey pants bowl, I’m talking about the original Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.  This has been on our families bucket list for a long time, but we never ordered it.  We’ve always stuck with our individual faves, the No Way Jose for a few of us, the Mudslide, and the banana split.

Well most of our family likes a classic hot fudge sundae and only one of us likes strawberry sauce so the Original Kitchen Sink never seemed appealing to most of us, but then I discovered there was a Chocolate Lovers Kitchen Sink.  Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!  Our whole family can agree on this one, so we decided to give it a try.

What’s in the Chocolate Lovers Kitchen Sink you ask?  Here’s the scoop:

3 scoops chocolate ice cream

3 scoops cookies and cream ice cream

3 scoops vanilla ice cream

4 brownies

4 oreos

2 milky ways

caramel syrup, chocolate syrup

chocolate chips

white and dark chocolate shavings

WHOLE CAN OF WHIP CREAM

My oh my this was a chocolate lovers dream!  Now they don’t just serve this to you like an average meal, there is a whole production.  The lights go dark and other lights start flashing as the server makes an announcement to the entire restaurant that it’s being served.  Then they PLOP it on the table in front of you.

My kids were so excited and eager to dig in.  They give you smaller bowls to serve it and my middle daughter ate 3 bowls of it!  My youngest son couldn’t finish one bowl, and my oldest held her own.  My oldest daughter and I really love peanut butter, so the server brought us a bowl of peanut butter sauce on the side to add to ours.  It was so good!

So did we finish?  There were 5 of us, 2 adults, a 17 year old, 10 year old, and 7 year old.  We could not finish it, but we came pretty close.  Our 10 year old was the MVP on this one.  Would we order it again, maybe?  I still love the No Way Jose, but at $32 it was a great deal for a family of 5 and kept are tummies full for the rest of the day!

So if you want to tackle the Kitchen Sink, head on over to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club and check it out.
