With the 4th of July right around the corner, my mind is occupied with thoughts of camping, cookouts and fireworks with my family. I can’t think of any more spectacular fireworks than those found (nightly) at Walt Disney World Resort, but the last thing I want to do after a fun-filled day in the Parks is squeeze my family into a cramped tent. Luckily, Disney Vacation Club Resorts offer some unique “glamping” options that combine the best of nature with luxury accommodations. In a cozy Cabin or Treehouse retreat, you can “camp” in comfort, right in the “backyard” of Walt Disney World Resort.
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, the Cascade Cabins are the definition of rustic elegance. These luxurious waterfront Cabins sleep up to eight, and with a full kitchen, spacious living areas and wraparound porch, there’s room for the whole family. The Cabin’s beautiful wood and stone architecture will transport you deep into forest escape while modern luxuries, such as the dual-sided fireplace and private hot tub, will ensure you enjoy a relaxing wilderness retreat.
While staying in a Cascade Cabin, you can take advantage of all the activities Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has to offer. There are tree-lined jogging paths, boat rentals and even a 120-foot geyser eruption that happens hourly! At the BBQ pavilion you can be master of your own cookout, then roast marshmallows at the nightly campfire. After exchanging stories around the fire, it’s only a short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom Park for the fireworks. Or, it’s an even shorter walk to your own private hot tub.
Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Nestled between woodland trees and elevated ten feet off the ground, the Treehouse Villas offer a truly special way to “glamp.” The Villas feature wood details, granite counters and large windows, providing plenty of natural light and views of the tranquil Sassagoula River. An oversized deck area guarantees plenty of room for families to spread out.
The best part of this location is the feeling of privacy and seclusion while still having access to Resort amenities and the rest of Walt Disney World Resort. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa offers golf, bike rentals, sunrise yoga and more. Once you’re done exploring it all, you can relax in comfort at your enchanting Treehouse hideaway.
So, next time you’re looking to go camping, why not choose an accommodation that won’t leave you with cabin fever? There’s no better way to reconnect with nature and loved ones then by “glamping” at a Disney Vacation Club Resort!
