MEGACON™, SOUTHEAST’S LARGEST FAN CONVENTION, RETURNS TO TAMPA CONVENTION CENTER SEPTEMBER 21-23, 2018
MEGACON™, the Southeast’s largest fan convention with shows in both Orlando and Tampa Bay, returns to the Tampa Convention Center for another star-studded year from Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23, 2018. This year, MEGACON Tampa Bay expects to welcome more than 30,000 fans throughout the weekend with a long roster of celebrity guests, action-packed programming and much more.
Celebrity guests joining the lineup include Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Christian Serratos (The Walking Dead); Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who); Christopher Lloyd(Back To The Future); Jason David Frank (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers); Sean Pertwee and David Mazouz (Gotham); Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn and John Delancie (Star Trek: The Next Generation). More exciting celebrity appearances will be announced leading up to the three-day event. MEGACON Tampa Bay will also feature family-friendly activities and programming, endless shopping, workshops and panels, cosplay contests and more throughout the weekend.
“Every year we’re delighted to deliver the ultimate fan experience and star power people wait year round for,” said FAN EXPO HQ Vice President Andrew Moyes. “This year with MEGACON Tampa Bay, we’re bringing the hottest names to the lineup alongside exciting programming for people of all ages.”
Programming highlights this year include a Harry Potter Escape Room, a series of Star Wars-themed events, Back to the Future DeLorean time machine and an All-Star Voice Actor Live Script reading. First launched in 2016, MEGACON Tampa Bay continues to expand in 2018 when it will welcome over 30,000 fans to the Tampa Convention Center, September 21 – September 23, 2018.
MEGACON Tampa Bay’s limited three-day passes and single-day tickets are available for purchase at www.megacontampabay.com/tickets. Prices start at $25 on Friday, $40 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday. Special discounted ticket prices will be available for early bird ticketholders for a limited time.
