There are few better things to do at Disney than watch the fireworks shows. I can remember times that we scoped out a spot for Wishes hours in advance to make sure we had the best view. Now Disney is offering a different view for the fireworks at Magic Kingdom; pirate’s eye view.
Located at the Contemporary Resort, the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage is a family-friendly adventure that starts out with a dessert party, featuring sweet treats, including Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwiches, cake, pretzels, chips, and a variety of beverages. Guests are then joined by Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for a photo opportunity, then the children in attendance lead the way to the dock in the pirate parade.
Once onboard, the pirate/host Patch sings, tells jokes, and asks trivia questions. Then comes the best part. The anchor is dropped right in front of Magic Kingdom for a spectacular view of the fireworks show. No crowds, no iPads blocking the view, no kids on shoulders. The perfect photo opportunity!
After the show, the boat returns to the Contemporary Resort with one more surprise: a photo opportunity with the one and only Peter Pan! What a way to end the evening!
Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage sets sail daily (weather permitting) and starts at 7:45pm. Tickets for ages 10 and older are $72, 3-9 for $43, and free for ages 2 and younger.
This sounds like a great new way to watch the fireworks. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments.
