There’s nothing that says summer like spending the day on the water with friends and family. And there’s no better time to experience all the fun that fishing and boating has to offer than during National Fishing and Boating Week! This national celebration runs now through June 10 and highlights the importance of recreational fishing and boating. And, since the best way to celebrate is to get out on the water, I wanted to share some unique experiences that we offer right here at Walt Disney World Resort, presented by Take Me Fishing:
Did you know? There are guided fishing excursions departing from select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that let you experience catch-and-release bass fishing with a trained Disney fishing guide. Fishing was a pretty big part of my life growing up in New York, so I was excited to learn about this unique offering here in Central Florida.
If you’d rather fish from land, dockside fishing featuring a casting-rod is also available at the Fishin’ Hole at Old Man Island at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort–Riverside.
In addition to the countless fishing experiences, there are also plenty of boat rentals available at select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Whether you’re looking for something calm and relaxing or fast and exciting, there’s something for every nautical novice and veteran, alike.
Well, what are you waiting for? Grab your crew and get out on the water! Get more information about fishing at Walt Disney World Resort. And, to learn more about National Fishing and Boating Week, visit TakeMeFishing.org.
