Night Of Joy Ends

After a 35-year run, Night of Joy, the Christian-music concert series, will not be returning to Disney World. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a Disney World spokeswoman confirmed that fact and said that there are no plans for the series to return to the resort in the future.

The event started at Magic Kingdom in 1983, moved to Hollywood Studios for two years, and the last two years was held at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The spokeswoman stated that ending the Night of Joy series was part of the resorts philosophy of ‘continually changing our offerings,’ and that ‘Last year was our last event.’

For those that loved the event, two Christian artists will appear in the Eat to the Beat concert series during the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. Both MercyMe and TaurenWells will appear for two nights in September.
