“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
Happy Wednesday everyone! As I previously mentioned, my family and I are moving, and Saturday is moving day! No, we aren’t moving far or heading back North, we’re actually only moving about 20 minutes from where we live now. That shouldn’t be a problem, right? Well, if you keep up with me, or read my book, you already know how I am. Change is hard for me. One would think that if I could move across the country, that I could move to the other side of Walt Disney World much easier. It IS easier, but still tugs at my heart. Four years ago, we were getting ready to make the move to Florida, and I seriously had no idea how we’d do it, or what our new “home” would be like. In June of 2014, we rolled into town and pulled up to the new house, and I was happy. This house was good for us, it was a great place to start a new life. We were renting, so it wasn’t “ours” but it worked! Fast forward to the present time, we needed a place of our own. After being here awhile, we knew that Florida was where we were meant to be, so getting a home that’s ours seemed like the next reasonable step. Of course, we had to stay close to Disney, that’s our job, but it’s a little bittersweet. Change is hard, but sometimes you HAVE to keep moving forward, that’s how we progress and grow. So I’m doing just that.
From our first Summer in Florida, 2014 (time sure does fly)
So this weekend, we say goodbye to the place we’ve called home for almost four years, and hello to a new beginning. A new beginning is needed, truthfully. We’ve outgrown this house. The boys are getting bigger and we needed more space. There are good memories here, but sad ones too. It’s time. We have been painting the new house and moving things over gradually, and my Tangled bathroom is almost done. I’ll post house photos once it’s all put together! Saturday is the day though, and we have SO much to do before then. Thank God friends of ours are coming to help, we sure need it. On that note, I’m wrapping up and getting back to packing. I promise to give you all the full scoop when we talk next week. Thank you all so much for following along with my family and I each and every week, I truly love you for that. Until next time, sending you all love, blessings and pixie dust… and a very Happy Easter as well! See ya real soon! ~M
