Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! 2018 is off to a busy start, lets get chatting!
As I said last week, we had just gotten back into town after spending the holidays up in Michigan. It’s been a little bit chilly outside for Florida standards, but not horrible. Last Saturday night we got in some Disney time at the Magic Kingdom and had to wear warmer coats. It was so odd seeing people walking around the park in their jackets, hats and scarves. That’s not something you witness very often down here. 40 degree temps don’t seem bad for those who live in the North, but Floridians don’t do well when it’s that cold. We didn’t mind though, it was nice to be back in our happy place, regardless of the weather. I was also glad we went because we got to see the Castle lights one more time before they were taken down. The Christmas season went by so fast this year for some reason, I’ll miss the decor. But, it’s time to move on from that and look forward to the coming year at Disney!
Every year I buy a calendar then forget to use it. Or… I don’t have enough activities going on so I don’t use it. This year is a different story. Thank God my friend Joe (Moments of the Magic Photography) gave me one of this beautiful 2018 calendars, because I’m going to need it. I’ve already got a lot lined up and it’s only the second week of January. This Friday we have a media preview at Epcot for their International Festival of the Arts in the day time. That night we have “Marvel Live” at the Amway Center to cover, it’s going to be a long day! Next week I have a media event on Wednesday at Epcot, then on Friday we have a media cruise for the weekend on the Disney Dream. That’s just the beginning, there’s more after that. Busy is good though, and I’m truly thankful for the opportunities that I’ve been given. Some people take things for granted when you’re given extras, but we certainly don’t. It’s truly a blessing, and I’m beyond excited. The cruise is something I’m really looking forward to, as I’ve never been on a Disney Cruise before. We got our itinerary from the Disney media department last night, and it looks like they’re going to keep us busy, as it is a “work” trip after all. I really do have the best job, I can’t wait to share pics and video with you all! I’ll post more about it next week!
So, it’s a new year…. did any of you make any resolutions? I always do, and did again. I had some health issues at the end of the year, so losing weight is pretty high on my list for 2018. It’s necessary, but I hate it. I had gotten one of those waist trainer things at Five Below, the ones that are supposed to help slim your mid section. Well, I put it on the other day, and we just happened to buy cake at the grocery store, so I did have a small slice while wearing it. How absolutely ridiculous is that?? I’m laughing as I type this. You know me, I’m pretty honest to a fault with you guys, I share even the embarrassing stuff! In all seriousness though, getting healthy is on my list for sure, no more sweets except for the three day cruise, all bets are off then! We have more fun things planned for TMSM on that list too. 2017 was great for TMSM and I want to keep that momentum going. It’s good to have goals and aspirations throughout the year, January is just the time to access them. Whatever you’re wanting to achieve this year, just go for it! We’ll get through it together, and you’ll know I’ll be keeping you in the loop on my end for sure. That’s it for this week! Thank you all so much for following along! Sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust as always!! See ya real soon! ~M
