Celebrate National Aviation Month at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Did you know that November is National Aviation Month? Well, it is! This month-long spotlight on all things flight-related gives me the perfect excuse to talk about my favorite aviation themed venue at Disney Springs: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, of course.

Featuring new happy hour pricing and some flavorful additions to the menu, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar has become one of my go-to spots for after-work drinks and light lunches. I’ve loved it since it opened, but now, I find myself recommending it way more than ever before. For sharable options best enjoyed with friends, the new nachos can’t be beat. Wu Han’s Hot Wings are another standout (mild for me, please!), and the Snakebite Sliders are a reliable standby. My best tip? Order a few items for the table and plan to taste a little of everything.

Naturally, the drinks are divine. The Cool-headed Monkey arrives in an envy-worthy glass. Reggie’s Revenge, a hypnotizing neon concoction, is the signature drink for a reason. And the Air Pirate’s Mule (my favorite beverage on the list) is the most perfectly-crafted Mule I’ve ever sipped – even better than the standard “Moscow” version. The beer selection is robust and the selections change seasonally. I’m fond of the Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale out of Kansas City, Missouri, though they offer plenty of local craft brews, too.

If you prefer your sips and bites with a side of ambience, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is the spot for you! The interior showcases props ranging from authentic airplane propellers to a diving bell that you can actually sit inside, and the outside tables offer waterfront views and a nice breeze. (To get the best of both worlds, seek out a table on the Reggie, a boat in permanent dry dock adjacent to the main building.) Plus, once the sun sets, you never know which of Jock’s mysterious friends might drop by!

Ready to indulge? Happy Hour, with special pricing on cocktails, wine, draft beer and appetizers, is offered Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. only.

Fly in soon for casual fare with daring flare – maybe I’ll even see you there!
