Happy November Everyone! Well, the Halloween season is over, and I’m hearing there is already some Christmas magic happening at the parks. You know Disney works fast, right? Truthfully I’m ready! Halloween began in August here in Florida, so I’ve had my fill, bring on Christmas! But first, lets talk about the last bit of October!
Last weekend was one of our favorite conventions in Orlando, Spooky Empire. It’s not just about scary movies and such, there’s also a lot of pop culture, celebrity guests, merchandise booths and fun panels. This is an event that my boys enjoy very much as well, it gives them something different to do. Spooky Empire was even bigger this year, being held at the Hyatt Orlando. Lots of walking but a great time was had as usual. We never got to take the kids back to the Halloween Party at Disney, but this was a good outing just the same! I’ve been so ready to get Halloween over with though. The kids keep teasing me that it’s “too early for Christmas” but now that November is here, it’s on! Speaking of Christmas…
Disney Springs has a ton of Christmas merchandise available already. The entire side section that was all Halloween is now all Christmas. We went over there on Monday to check it out and get some photos for the site. I did a live feed on Facebook and it was kind of funny because Halloween music was still playing in the Christmas section, they hadn’t changed it yet. Giving our readers a peek at happenings live from Disney is always fun, it makes me happy to give people a little magic no matter where they are watching from. Being that the holiday season is just kicking off, there will be much more of that I’m sure. I need to get to the parks this week too, to see what’s being added decoration wise. So exciting. When we were at Disney Springs, we wandered over to see what’s left of the partially demolished Disney Quest. Only a section was still standing, kind of neat to see. I posted pics on our Facebook page this morning if you want to check it out!
Well, now that it’s November I can put the busy Halloween season behind me. And busy it was. Between media events, the big meet up, having friends in town, etc…. it was crazy. Now it’s time for the Christmas frenzy, but I’m happy about it. My parents will be here for Thanksgiving week, we have a media night for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and much more to look forward to. So while some say it’s too early for this, in my opinion, I say let’s get started! The LuLaRoe people are on board too because we’re getting a shipment of their Holiday leggings for our group today! I can’t wait to see what comes! You can join us there at www.facebook.com/groups/lularoemicheleatwood. We’re going to be doing giveaways and such over the next two months so feel free to come on over! That’s it for this week. As always I thank you for keeping up with our family and supporting our efforts like you do, it means more than you’ll ever know! Until next time, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
