Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It’s been a crazy week here! I hope you’re all well and ready to get chatting! Here we go!
Last weekend, we were working an expo at Coronado Springs, for Spooky Day in the Parks. It was put on by the people who run the popular convention Spooky Empire, but this new weekend was with a Disney twist. We had a table at the Bazaar on Friday and Saturday. We got to meet a lot of new people and had a great time networking and such. Friday night though, they had an after hours Gala at the Tower of Terror at the Studios. We took party busses over to the Studios from Coronado Springs, and were dropped off backstage, to the side of the Tower. Once we got off the bus, there was a spook-tacular dessert party waiting for everyone. Delicious cakes and such were offered, plus themed cocktails, it was awesome. They also had 4 villains making appearances for guests to get photos with…. Maleficent, the Evil Queen, the Queen of Hearts and Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare before Christmas. So very exciting, we got photos with all of them! In addition to the characters and food, another perk was that we got to ride the Tower of Terror by ourselves. What an experience! I have to say, it was scarier being on the Tower alone for some reason. It’s an evening I won’t soon forget. A huge thank you to Spooky Empire to having us be a part of their weekend, it was great.
On Sunday we headed over to Sea World, to check out their yearly Halloween trick or treating event, Sea World’s Halloween Spooktacular. The kids always enjoy going, so it was nice. The weather has been so hot still here though, it’s a little concerning because our big TMSM Meet Up is this weekend and we’ve got a lot planned. My friends from Michigan (home) Paula and Michelle are flying to town tomorrow night, and will be staying with us all weekend. That’s always a good time! On Friday night we have our patio party at Paradiso 37, then the big meet up is at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. Yay for meet up weekend! I still have so much to do, but I’m sure it will all get done. This year is a harder one for me, and for friends attending. As most of you know, we lost one of our biggest supporters this year, our Fran. I have never done a meet up without her and my heart is broken that she’s not with us. Her family is coming to the festivities though, and we made red ribbons in remembrance of Fran. She deserves more than I could ever give her, and she’s so sorely missed. We’ll do our best to honor her this weekend, even though she’d probably hit me and say that I’m going to make her cry. Gosh I miss her. For details about the meet up, please see our event section on our Facebook page. I hope to see some of you there, it’s going to be great.
We’ll be doing giveaways at Paradiso 37, and I’ll have swag at the Magic Kingdom. If you’re not able to attend, no worries, I’m going to do a prize for people at home so watch for hashtag #tmsmmeetup for details. That’s it for this week, as I have lots to get ready for. As always, thank you for following our adventures every week, it’s appreciated. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust. See ya real soon! ~M
