This just in from the Orlando Sentinel ~
2-year-old girl was found alone in a car parked at a Walt Disney World resort Monday afternoon, Orange County deputies said.
Walt Disney Security found the girl in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa employee parking lot about 1 p.m., said Ingrid Tejada-Monforte, an Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
The car was turned off, the doors were unlocked and the windows were rolled down a few inches, Tejada-Monforte said. Deputies did not say how long the girl was in the vehicle.
The child’s caregiver, 37-year-old Myriam Luhincadet, was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and taken to the Orange County Jail, Tejada-Monforte said. Deputies said Luhincadet is related to the child’s mother.
The girl was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where she was in stable condition, Tejada-Monforte said.
The high temperature at Walt Disney on Monday was 91 degrees, according to AccuWeather.
So glad to hear that the little girl is in good condition. Thank you to the Orlando Sentinel for the information.
