Just a couple of weeks ago we told you about all the new events coming to Disneyland Paris – Val d’Europe Half Marathon Weekend. Today we’re thrilled to share even more exciting details with a first-look at this year’s race medals!
First up we have the runDisney Kids Races medallion, featuring Mickey Mouse! Followed by the 5K medal, inspired by everyone’s favorite maître d’, Lumière from “Beauty and the Beast.”
Flora, Fauna and Merryweather – the three fairy godmothers from “Sleeping Beauty” – can be seen flying around the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park on the inaugural 10K medal.
Set against a dazzling sapphire blue backdrop, the half marathon medal pays tribute to the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris and features everyone’s favorite pal, Mickey Mouse, running past Sleeping Beauty Castle, a popular landmark for runners at the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon.
New to the race weekend this year is the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo Challenge and runners who complete both the 10K and half marathon will receive a third medal, which features Cinderella’s Coach and the Fairy Godmother.
Lastly, we have the Castle to Château Challenge medal. Runners who complete the half marathon at Disneyland Paris and a runDisney half marathon or marathon at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort in the same calendar year will be awarded this special piece of bling.
Disneyland Paris – Val d’Europe Half Marathon Weekend is sure to be a truly magical experience straight out of a fairy tale as Disneyland Paris continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Learn more about this race weekend and how you can participate at run.disneylandparis.com.
