Just in today!
As of July 3rd, Disney Quest will be closing to make room for the new NBA Experience, but to further their relationship, the Orlando Magic will now feature the Disney logo on their jerseys. As part of a pilot program testing ads on jerseys, the three-year deal will feature the Disney logo in a 2 ½ x 2 ½ inch space on the front left of the jerseys. It is set to begin with the 2017-18 season.
Magic CEO Alex Martins told the Orlando Sentinel, “This is an opportunity for us to partner with a local giant that we can expand our international reach with. And, conversely, as we travel around the league and our games are broadcast around the world and ultimately as we travel around the world in future international trips, we can help further expose the Disney brand as tied to the NBA and, specifically, to Disney’s hometown team. So the outcome could not have been any better. This is the perfect match for both of us in terms of branding on an NBA uniform.” The Magic are the eighth NBA team to announce a sponsor.
To sweeten the deal for Disney lovers, the Southwest Airlines Flight Desk within the arena will become known as the Disney Passholder Porch. Annual passholders will be able to upgrade their seats at Magic games, and the Amway Center will sell and renew WDW annual passes.
