It’s Wednesday evening Main Streeters, and time for our weekly chat! It’s been busy since we’ve talked last, so lets jump right in!

Friday night we made plans to go wander around the Magic Kingdom. It’s been pretty hot here in Central Florida, so we actually had a FastPass for Splash Mountain. The boys sat in the front row and got SOAKED! Better them than me! We had some nachos at Pecos Bills, went on a few rides, and stayed to watch the Castle show, Once Upon A Time, while it’s still there. It’s a good show, but it doesn’t hit you in the feels like Celebrate the Magic did, that’s for sure. I hope when they redo things after Wishes retires, that it goes back to being a little more sentimental. But then again, as you know, I hate change… I have to get over losing those lanterns and seeing Walt larger than life up on Cinderella Castle. We took my book with us (like it’s a pet or something, ha!) to the MK. I was trying to get photos of it in different places to use for our social media accounts. Truthfully… I don’t know how to market it, or get it out there more. Maybe I need to hire a PR person? lol I’m doing the best I can though, and Moving to Main Street USA is doing well, I can’t ask for much more than that.

On Saturday, we decided to take some down time. Do you ever get like that, like you just need a break from all the busy stuff and craziness? Well, that was me on Saturday. The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind and I was just tired. We live in the vacation capital of the US and we rarely venture out, I need to change that. The beach is one of my favorite places, but we don’t go often, so I suggested that we take a drive. We headed towards Melbourne Beach, not knowing where we were going or what what we were going to do there, but that was part of the adventure. They have this big flea market right off the highway in Melbourne, so we stopped to browse through. Oh wow…. that was an experience! Just about anything you’re looking for, any little trinket, fried food on a stick…. they had it. Interesting for sure. Afterwards we drove towards the beach. There was an airshow going on, so we saw the jets making trails in the sky, that was cool. Once we finally got to the beach, it was a little late to swim, so we just went for a walk on the shore. There is something about being on the ocean, it’s so peaceful. I love to just stand there and breathe in the fresh air. It was just what I needed, and the boys love the beach too. I told them next time we’ll spend the entire day, we’ll bring stuff for sand castles and snacks. Sounds like a plan to me.

On Sunday, it was still so darn hot here, so we went over to Aquatica for a few hours to cool off. My kids LOVE water parks. I just love the sun, so it works out fine. Sea World is becoming our second home next to Disney, we really enjoy it there, and Aquatica is a lot of fun. It was back to work on Monday, and we headed over to Gatorland Orlando for photos and videos. Gatorland is a new sponsor for TMSM, so we wanted to get some coverage over there. Gatorland is a diamond in the rough, it’s really a fun place to visit. They have nature trails, zip lines, a splash pad and of course gators! We’ll be covering more from Gatorland in the future!

In taking time away from Disney and such, it was a good opportunity for reflection time. I think we all need that once in awhile, to just take in all that’s been going on around us, and just be. We are coming up on our three year anniversary here in Florida, and so much has happened. It still doesn’t seem real to me. I’ve done more things outside my comfort zone in the past three years, than I did in my entire life prior. How crazy is that? I find myself asking….. now what? Writing a book was high on my list, but I did that, and it gave me the push to want to do more. But what? There are other things I can write about besides Disney (gasp) but I’m still finding my way. Just waiting for God to give me the answer…. or at least point in a certain direction! The next few weeks will be super busy for us. We have Star Wars Celebration next weekend, Easter is coming up, the Spooky Empire convention, friends in town, then my parents are staying with us for a few days! I’m so excited! Stick around, we’ll have a lot of coverage for you soon, there’s always something going on! Thank you for keeping up with our lives here in Florida each and every week. I can’t even begin to tell you what your support means to me, it’s amazing. Until next week, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust… See ya real soon! ~M
