Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope you’re all having a great week so far! It’s time for our weekly chat, so lets get right to it!

As I mentioned last week, I came down with either a cold or the flu, and it was a continued battle. I hate sitting home, but sometimes we have to take care of ourselves and just wait it out. I did indeed wait….. but only until Friday night. It was the official opening for Rivers of Light at Animal Kingdom, and we had plans to go. Yes, we did see the soft opening a week before, but we wanted to see if any changes were made and such. It was crowded, as we assumed. So many people were waiting to see Rivers of Light, and it was finally time. They even added a second show. We met up with friends, got a drink with a light up lotus flower in it (I wrote about that earlier this week), watched the show, then wandered a bit. My fever came back pretty fast once the cold meds wore off, so we headed for home right after. I was sort of bummed that I didn’t feel great, but at least I got out of the house for a few hours! I’ll gladly take that!

On Saturday, I still wasn’t feeling great, but the kids wanted to get out. Instead of doing Disney, we went over to Sea World. The kids like Sea World because they have bigger roller coasters to ride, and it’s not nearly as crowded as Disney. It’s a different feel over there, must less crazy, more laid back. It’s a nice change from the fast pace of Disney, especially when you don’t feel your best. They’re already asking if we can go back this weekend, so I’d say they had a good time. Their new coaster, Mako, is pretty fun. It started raining while we were on it though, and that, well, it wasn’t fun. It hurt. You take the good with the bad I suppose! All in all it wasn’t a bad day, even in the rain. On Sunday, the weather was beautiful, but we really didn’t do much. We ate lunch outside, and just had a quiet day, which I think I needed… because on Monday, we were back at it! We went to Epcot to check out the happenings in preparation for the Flower and Garden Festival!

The sun was out on Monday, no clouds in the sky. It was a perfect day to go exploring and photo taking at Epcot. It was really, really crowded though. When we walked in, there was already a 60 minute wait for Spaceship Earth, and that never happens. It was the last day of their Festival of the Arts, and they were already getting reader for Flower and Garden, which starts on March 1st. The Flower and Garden Festival is one of our favorites. Actually, we like it better than Food and Wine, gasp! The topiaries are beautiful, the food booths are fun, and the atmosphere really puts you in the mood for springtime! A few of the topiaries were out, and there were flowers everywhere. I’m looking forward to going back next week to check out the official opening day, and of course see the new merchandise!

The past two days here have been pretty uneventful, as it’s been raining. Rainy days mean that I get more work done, so it’s not all bad. I’ve been missing home this week though. Seeing my FB friends post how nice it’s been up in Michigan, especially last weekend, makes me want to go home to visit. I fully know that that’s not possible right now, so maybe that just makes me miss it more. I’m hoping maybe either family or friends come visit us here this Spring. The weather is beautiful, and there’s always something to do! We’re also trying to decide on a date for our big TMSM Meet Up for 2017. Right now we’re leaning towards late September, but I’ll announce official details soon. I want to give people enough time to plan, so I’ll make that a priority, since people have been asking. Meet up time is always so much fun, I can’t wait to do it again this year!

Well, that’s all I have for you this week! Next Wednesday I’ll have more to tell you about I’m sure, so I hope you check back with me then! I’ve had readers ask how they can support our efforts at TMSM…. so here are a few ways! Check out our site blogs and our sponsors, check out our magazine, subscribe to our YouTube channel, share our info with your friends, shop our TMSM Emporium, and there’s also a donate button on our home page.
