Walt Disney World’s annual passholders are getting a holiday treat at the theme park gates. They’ll be able to bypass long lines at the entrances by using gateways that are designated for annual passholders only.
The benefit begins Wednesday, Dec. 21, and is scheduled to run into sometime in January, a Disney spokeswoman said Tuesday. She said the option was designed as a thank you for folks who had purchased an annual pass.
The designated entrances will be at all four Walt Disney World parks, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Passholders should look for signage after going through each park’s security checkpoint, the spokeswoman said.
Disney has several annual pass options, and some include benefits such as discounts on dining and merchandise, park-hopping privileges, free parking and access to Disney PhotoPass. The priciest current pass, dubbed Disney Platinum Pass Plus, sells for $729, according to the official Walt Disney World website.
The company is currently running an annual-pass special that throws in a 13th month of the price of 12. The offer is available through Jan. 3, 2017.
