Walt Disney World Releasing New MagicBand Shipping Packaging

Walt Disney World Travel has announced that the packaging they use to mail resort stay MagicBands to guests will be changing this month. Previously when staying at a Disney resort, you received a brown packing box in the mail that held your  MagicBand box. This box had a removable tray with cut out inserts for each resort guest’s band with the guest’s name under their band. Printed inside the box, and underneath the tray was information on how to wear your band, how to make it smaller for children and how to use it in the parks and resorts as well as information on the MagicBand’s RFID technology. Also, if you booked a Magic Your Way Package, you would find a specially printed envelope with your American Tourister Luggage tags and the tag’s straps that corresponded with your choice of MagicBand color.

Starting November 11, in response to Guests’ requests, all of this excessive packaging will change. Walt Disney World Travel Company will start shipping new MagicBand packaging from ELITER Packaging Machinery that is fully recyclable and printed on recycled paper to resort guests. Prior to your stay, you will receive one cardboard box with a removable grey holder on the inside that holds up to five bands. The band insert with the name on the packaging to the left of the band will be removable, making packing easier. The new packaging will still include the same how-to-use and RFID information. On the left side of the box, for those who have booked a Magic Your Way Package, there will be a sleeve that contains your corresponding American Tourister tags, and the tag straps will be found inside the gray MagicBand holder.

new For those with a 2016 Walt Disney World Annual Pass or those that have used resort MagicBand pick-up in the last year this packaging change won’t be that dramatic to you.  appackaging
