Two desserts at Disney cause a good deal of confusion. This of course may be because they are both ice cream sundaes and share the same name “kitchen sink” but these two items are very different and tonight we are going to explain why!

Mickey’s Kitchen Sink Sundae is a newer addition to the Disney Parks dessert line-up, it was introduced in 2014. Unlike the gigantic Kitchen Sink which is only available at Walt Disney World, Mickey’s Kitchen Sink is available at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.  The sundae comes in a plastic blow shaped like Mickey Mouse’s red pants, and guests get to take it home with them when they are finished eating it. At Walt Disney World, Mickey’s Kitchen Sink Sundae is currently $14.99* plus tax, and is made* using the following (Per current WDW Signage):

The original “Kitchen Sink” is a whooper of a sundae and is only available at Beaches and Cream, a table service dining location at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. It is highly recommended you make a reservation at Beaches and Cream if you want to tackle the Kitchen Sink. Many Disneyland guests may remember it being available at PCH Grill at Paradise Pier but it seems during the restaurant’s last major redo it was discontinued.
