This morning, Epcot kicked off their 2016 International Food and Wine Festival, and we were there first thing. The Food and Wine decorations were out as you entered the park, which is a great welcome when you get there. There was merchandise located inside MouseGear, but you could find more goodies at the various festival merchandise stands. Figment is the mascot for this years merchandise.
The festival center has different demonstrations, more merchandise for purchase, wine tasting, and a great section with chocolate sculptures. As you walk into World Showcase, you’ll see a Mickey Mouse topiary, standing there with a bbq grill! Then the foodie fun begins!
As soon as you start your walk around World Showcase, you’ll begin to smell the various goodies that the different food booths are cooking up. This year, they have a booth from the Caribbean Islands that has gorgeous scenery. A lot of your old favorites are there, like Hops and Barley back in America and the stand in Canada which features the cheese soup from LeCellier!
