Steve Jobs (Feb. 24, 1955-October 5, 2011) was a technology visionary. He was best know as the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. He was also the co-founder and chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios. He purchased Pixar Animation Studios from Lucasfilm’s computer graphics division for $10 million in 1986. Pixar was then acquired by the Walt Disney Company in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. Jobs owned 50.1% of the Pixar stock, making him the Walt Disney Company’s largest individual shareholder. He owned 7% of the company and was appointed to the Walt Disney Company Board of Directors. After Jobs’ death in 2011, his shares were transferred to the Steven P. Jobs Trust.
A piece of trivia-Steve Jobs was mentioned on the promotional site for Tomorrowland, where he was working with Plus Ultra, and received a pin from David Nix.
