Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It has been such a crazy week since we spoke last, and I’m exhausted! Not too tired for our weekly chat of course! It’s funny how some weeks, there’s absolutely nothing exciting going on, and other weeks we can barely find time to breathe. We have a lot to talk about, so lets jump right in!
Last week, as most of you know, Disney kicked off their Halloween season with the first night for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We were debating on whether or not to go, being that we like to do that party closer to Halloween, but we thought it would be good to get coverage for the site. We didn’t have time to get costumes and such, but we headed out regardless. Disney really knows how to do Halloween. The decorations are awesome, the Boo to You Parade is my absolute favorite next to Festival of Fantasy, and lets not forget how great Hallowishes is. Hocus Pocus is one of my favorite movies, so we were sure to see the Hocus Pocus stage show too. The evening went by SO fast though. I’m not sure what it is about Disney parties, but time always flies and before you know it, you’re exhausted and it’s time to go home. We didn’t even go on any rides, or do any character meet and greets, there was no time. So, we are hoping to go back again before Halloween and do some of the things we didn’t get to do. I will link the videos from the party on the bottom of this blog, so you can see the festivities for yourself!
Saturday we spent the day pretty much recouping from the Halloween party. It’s tiring doing the parties, and usually we’re down for the count the following day. On Sunday, we had friends in town, so we met up for breakfast at Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs. Later that day we went to Hollywood Studios, but it was pretty much rained out and ruined the night. The hurricane that hit wasn’t that bad here, we just got a lot of rain and storms. When the rain won’t let up, we just kind of call it a night and head home. I didn’t bring an umbrella so we were soaked by the time we got to the car. But as the saying goes, rain at Disney is better than sunny skies anyplace else! On Labor Day, we didn’t really have solid plans, but we went to Epcot for a couple of hours. I miss seeing family on holiday weekends, but we made the best of it.
Last night, we went with a group of friends to the DVC event that was held at Animal Kingdom. I’ve never been to one of these parties before, so I was excited to go! Once the park closes, those with wrist bands are treated to short wait times for rides, music, free ice cream and snacks, and extra character meet and greets. We rode Expedition Everest twice back to back, it was awesome. I’ve never rode Everest in the dark before, and it’s a whole new experience. Lots of fun. It was nice to have an evening out like that, I was glad that we got to go. But again, we’re tired today, just like with the Halloween Party. Maybe we’re losing our stamina, who knows? I hope that’s not the case, there’s too much to do and see here right now.
Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to meet a few Main Streeters here and there, and I’m always appreciative of that. If it wasn’t for our readers and followers, we wouldn’t have TMSM. All in all it was a great weekend, it’s time to regroup and get back to work. We have exciting things coming up for TMSM so stay tuned! Thank you as always for keeping up with us! Until next week, sending you lots of blessings, hugs and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
