We have some amazing creative and crafty Main Streeters. Recently Main Streeter Audra Turner shared a photo of her homemade “Mouse Ear Baseball Hats” in TMSM Fan Nation and members went wild. We knew that if Nation members loved them that much, the rest of you would too. Audra was wonderful enough to write up the directions she follows to make her ears so that we could share them with you!

Baseball Hat Ear Instructions by Audra Turner
These could be customized for any princess or character. I made the pink hat for these step by step instructions.
Cut 4 circles to desired size from the plastic canvas. Cut a piece from the bottom so they fit the curve of the hat, I used a headband to mark the curve. Sew two pieces together to create 2 ears.
Mark the placement on the hat and sew the ears onto the hat.
Cut batting to fit the size of the ears and hot glue to ears.
Cut circles out of ear fabric to cover the ears. I cut the front circles bigger than the back and folded over to glue on. Then used the smaller fabric circles to cover the back and give a finished look.
I purchased one tiara in a dollar store. But later found a package of smaller tiaras in the party supply section of a craft store. Glue the tiara to the front of the hat.
I found a glitter tulle ribbon to match the fabric. Cut pieces and glue as desired around the crown and the ears. I gave it a gathered look as I was gluing the ribbon on. Also extended it out to the edges of the brim on the hat. I then folded some of the ear fabric and glued it on the back to make a finished binding strip (you could also purchase binding to match the fabric to help with this step). Glue on the outside of the decorative ribbon around the ear to hide the hot glue. Then used a string of beads from the ribbon department to glue around the tiara and hide the hot glue.
