It’s Wednesday night, and that means it’s time for our weekly check in, Adventures in Florida Living. I hope you’re all doing well and are ready to catch up! I know I am, so let’s get down to it!
It feels like Summertime lately around here, minus a rainy day today. Even the locals have been saying that 90 degrees it’s just too hot for this time of year. When it’s hot like this, it doesn’t stop the fun, you just have to adjust. Friday evening we did go to Hollywood Studios, it was planned for a couple of weeks, and it’s not as hot if you go at night. We actually had a Fastpass for Toy Story Mania, which is hard for AP holders to get, so we made an evening out of it. We did Star Wars character meet and greets like usual, which is always fun. My older kiddo was made the target of Kylo Ren’s fury, and it was pretty darn funny. I don’t know why he scares me, Kylo that is not my boy, but he does. I know it’s a character, and he’s not going to hurt me, but I get nervous. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my parents would make me go in those haunted houses at Halloween time. You’re scared, so you just hide and don’t look at the bad guys in hopes of not being noticed! Doesn’t always work but it’s fun nonetheless!
On Saturday, it was magazine crunch day. As much as I love The Main Street Monthly and appreciate how much people enjoy it, getting it together is always a ton of work and preparation. Month end isn’t fun, but we do what we’ve got to do to have it out on time for our readers. We pretty much worked all day, minus the couple of hours I took away to meet friends at the Studios, but then it was back to work. On Sunday, it was HOT outside…. like really hot. We’ve been busy, so we decided to take the boys out of the house for a bit and hit Blizzard Beach. I haven’t been there since last Summer, and it was nice to float in the lazy river and relax. They weren’t busy yet either, which was also nice. I’m not sure why, but we seem to forget about the water parks when making plans for the weekend. They’re fun and we’re going to try to go more this Summer, if they’re not too crazy busy that is.
Yesterday was Scott’s birthday, but as shocking as it sounds, we didn’t do Disney! We went to dinner and just laid low. Today, is of course Star Wars Day, so we had to go back to the Studios to see what was going on for the occasion. Well, it’s a rainy day, so there wasn’t much. They did have May the Fourth Be With You and Revenge of the Fifth merchandise though, which was cool to see. One special surprise today was that the Olaf meet and greet opened! We just happened to be there for opening day, and I’m so glad we got to check it out. I’ll link the video below, in case you didn’t see it today! Oh, speaking of our YouTube channel, if you haven’t subscribed yet, please do! We have more videos coming soon and you won’t want to miss it! That’s it for this week! I truly appreciate you keeping up with us, and thank you for the love and support you send! Until next Wednesday, sending you lots of hugs, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
