Disney has announced that there is a new Star Wars themed show, character experience, and nighttime fireworks experience coming to Hollywood Studios. Two of these new experiences will be starting on April 4. The new Star Wars stage show “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away.” The new show will take place on the new “Center Stage” located in front of the Chinese Theater. “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away” will feature iconic film moments from the Star Wars movies with on stage by appearances Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Kylo Ren and Chewbacca. Captain Phasma will be taking her First Order Storm Troopers on marching formations from the Star Wars Launch Bay to the Center Stage several times a day.
Starting this summer “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” a new nightly fireworks show will debut. This show will feature fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects, video projections, a “tower of fire” and spotlight beams. The new projections will turn the Chinese Theater and other buildings near Center Stage into “the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations.” The new spotlight beams will be used to create lightsabers in the sky above the park.
Currently, April 30th is currently the last night “Symphony of the Stars” is showing on the Hollywood Studios event schedule in MDE, so make sure you take some time to check out that amazing show before “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” starts.
