Well my dear friends, this is the last weekly check in for 2015! I hope you all had a safe and magical Christmas, as we enjoyed ours too. I can’t believe that the new year is upon us already… time goes by so fast. 2015 was our first full year in Florida, and it was packed full of busy times as well as ups and downs. I couldn’t sleep last night, so I was trying to recap the year in my head in preparation for tonight’s blog. Yes, I still have work on the brain at all hours of the night, I can’t help it. Anyhow, I started to think of some of the highlights, and realized how adventurous this year has been. Here are a few firsts for me in 2015~
Swam with and smooched a dolphin
Did a free fall attached to a bungee cord from over 200 feet (that’s nuts!)
Experienced Disney’s 24 Hour Party
Held meet ups at the parks and got to meet and thank well over 100 Main Streeters in person
Covered various events for TMSM and Off TMSM
Took a ride on a 400 ft observation wheel
Was actually on TV which was pretty darn cool
Experimented with live broadcasts
With the help of some amazing people, started our very own magazine!
Took my parents to Epcot and Animal Kingdom for the first time
Saw my little brother get married.
Made some amazing memories that will always stay with me!
These are just SOME of the events that stuck out in my mind at 3:00 in the morning, I know there is so much more that I can’t recall at the moment. Sometimes I still can’t believe that we live in Florida to pursue our Disney dreams. If you know me and read our updates, then you also know that change is hard for me. Being away from my family and friends is hard, and lonely at times truthfully, but this past year has been a whirlwind, and I’m thankful for the experiences that came our way.
As I look back on the year, I can say one thing for sure…. I would NOT have been able to push through and do the things we’ve done without the love and support from my friends, family, and all of YOU. God has surely blessed me with amazing people in my life, and I thank you all for caring about our family and all that the The Main Street Mouse does. On that note, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all a safe, magical, and Happy New Year. Here’s hoping that 2016 brings good things for all of us! Until next week (and year), see ya real soon! ~Michele
