Today the Disney Parks Blog released information on the new Star Wars offerings at Hollywood Studios. This included information on the Launch Bay, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, Star Wars: Path of The Jedi and Star Tours – The Adventures Continue which all opened December 1, 2015. The Launch Bay which is located in the Animation Courtyard allows guests “the chance to interact with Star Wars characters by choosing to encounter the Dark Side in a Star Destroyer themed area, or visit with the brave Rebels in a makeshift Rebel Base – clear your mind and choose wisely, as one path may lead to Darth Vader while the other leads to Chewbacca.” Guests can explore two exhibits the Celebration Gallery and Celebration Hallway featuring the Empire and the Rebellion and Star Wars props, art and more. This attraction also offers guests a chance to buy new Star Wars items at the new a new Star Wars merchandise gift shop the Launch Bay Cargo . The new Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is an updated version of the original Jedi Training Academy that features the new Seventh Sister Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels. Star Tours has been updated to include characters and locations from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The new Star Wars: Path of The Jedi attraction is located in the ABC Sound Studio and includes “an abridged cinematic reel that reviews Star Wars episodes I-VII.” Newly confirmed Star Wars inspired treats coming to Hollywood Studios include new items and returning favorites like “Blue Milk Panna Cotta, Padawan Limeade, BB-8 Lemon and Butter Cream Cupcakes.”
Not yet announced by the Parks Blog, but currently open for booking is the new “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party.” This party will be held on multiple nights from January 5- March 19, 2016 during the Symphony of the Star Fireworks. Guests attending will be able to eat all the Darth Vader Cupcakes and other Star Wars inspired deserts and beverages they want while enjoying an amazing fireworks display. Guests will also take home a souvenir Chewbacca stein. The cost of the party is $69.00 per adult (age 10 and over) and $39.00 for children (ages 3 to 9); tax and gratuity are included. Like with all dessert parties Disney dining plan entitlements may not be redeemed for this event. “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios” can be booked by either calling Disney Dining or visiting Disney Dining Online.
