Today In Disney History ~ September 21st
The Hollywood Walk of Fame awards people and fictional characters of notability in the film, television, music, radio and theater industry a star a a permanent public monument in honor of their achievements. There are fifteen fictional characters that has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Of the fifteen eleven were for motion pictures and four are in television. All five of the Disney fictional characters that have received a star in the Motion Picture category of the Walk of Fame.
On September 21, 2010 Tinker Bell honored with 2,418th Star on the Walk of Fame in the Category of Motion Pictures. Her star can be found at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Disney Soda Fountain & Studio Store just next door to the El Capitan Theatre. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the 9/21/10 release of “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue”, the third of seven Disney Fairies to be released between 2008 and 2015.
Hollywood stars in attendance that day that were connected to the new Fairies movies were Guest Speaker Bradley Raymond, the Director of “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue” and several voice actors from the movies Raven-Symoné (Iridessa), Pamela Adlon (Vidia), Angela Bartys (Fawn), and Jeff Bennett (Clank).
