Returning this year is the twice a night Mickey’s “Boo to You” Halloween Parade and the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks show. But several new events have been added this year that we can’t wait to see! The newly announced “Happy HalloWishes” Dessert Premium Package looks like it will be a lot of fun!
The event we here at TMSM keep hearing about the most is the new “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” which will be held at Cinderella Castle. In the show the infamous Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus will “visit the mortal world during the Halloween season” and throw the best Halloween part ever! The show will also feature Disney Villains like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent and more! There is currently no announced time for the show, nor has a post show Villain meet and greet been confirmed. DPB did though confirm that “villains such as Jafar, Cruella De Vil, Queen of Hearts, Lotso and Gaston will be available for character greetings during the Halloween party, at locations throughout the park.”
New character meet and greets are coming to MNSSHP this year too! A new area will be set up this year around Storybook Circus, allowing guests to meet Jack and Sally and other unconfirmed Villains and Heroes. All Seven Dwarfs will be appearing together in Fantasyland, the Queen of Hearts will be near the Mad Tea Party, Lotso will be in Tomorrowland, and Gaston will be near his Tavern (this meet and greet is not exclusive to the party.) When asked if the Disney Princes would be appearing this year, tt was confirmed that the Disney Princesses will “continue to host the same Disney royalty during the Halloween parties who visit during the regular operating day” basically ruling out the appearance of the Princes for now.
Once again Fastpass+ will not be available during MNSSHP. It was also confirmed that the Villains Sinister Soiree will not be returning this year. To be honest after Disney announced the new “Happy HalloWishes” Dessert Premium Package we here at TMSM weren’t really expecting it to return.
We are still waiting to learn the exact times of the parade, fireworks, and what this year’s special Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom spell card will be as soon as we know that information we will share it with you! We are though hoping that Disney improves how they mark the hand out of those cards as we learned last year people whose sole intention was reselling the cards at a high profit online had figured out how to cheat the system for additional cards.
