It’s Thursday! Time to recognize someone for sharing that little bit of extra kindness! If you follow The Main Street Mouse, then you know how much we love and appreciate our Cast Member friends. Disney Cast Members go above and beyond every day to make sure Guests have a magical experience while on Disney property. You don’t really get that kind of treatment anyplace else! I’m a people watcher, and I see Cast Members going the extra mile all the time. Today, I’d like to talk about the Disney Security Cast Members. Yes, the people who look through bags at the entrances of the parks.
As much as we sometimes don’t want to have our purses and bags rummaged through, Disney Security folks do it for our protection and safety. We live in a crazy world, and unfortunately these kinds of checks have become necessary. Sure, it’s a pain to have to wait, but did you ever notice the Security guards who check our bags? They are so darn nice! As they’re taking their flashlights and looking through pouches and such, they’re also being friendly, cracking jokes, asking questions, and just being really personable to guests while they do their job. They know full well that some cranky tourists don’t want to be in that line, and don’t want their belongings gone through, so they make it as painless as possible. As much as I’ve gone through these lines, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience with Disney Security. They don’t have a fun job, but you’d never know it. They start the magical experience off right, even before getting into the parks. My favorite…… is when they hand me my purse back and say “Have a Magical Day Princess!” Yes, I’m a huge kid, but it works and I love it!
So, the next time you’re in line waiting to have your bags checked before entering a Disney Park, take notice of the awesome Disney Security team. Maybe even say thank you? I know they’d appreciate the positive feedback. All Cast Members do! They are there for our own good, lets keep that in mind! So, a big thank you from TMSM to Disney Security! You all do a great job, and we appreciate your efforts! If you have a Disney act of kindness that you’d like to share, please let me know at [email protected] and we will feature your story. Until next week, be kind, spread magic, share a smile…… you never know whose day you could brighten! ~M
