Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July holiday! This weeks Florida Living blog is a little different, mostly because the past week has been super busy and a complete whirlwind for us. Last week, I explained how we had been working around the clock to get our new project, an electronic magazine, launched and out there to the public finally, after years of planning. It’s been surreal to say the least.
We put the magazine, The Main Street Monthly, out for public viewing a week ago on July 1st. I was excited but scared, as I wasn’t sure how things would go and how our readers would like it. I was nervous, watching the sales go through, and waiting to hear feedback on how the transaction went and if people liked the magazine once they read it. We hit a few bumps here and there, but nothing major, so we were happy with the launch. People were getting their magazines and downloading them pretty easily, minus a few here and there. We tried to be available to readers who needed extra help, and things worked out. Thank God.
It’s a dream come true, being able to put out a magazine for our readers, and it’s been well worth all that work. The best part? The feedback. Oh my gosh, people are loving The Main Street Monthly, and I can’t even begin to express what that means to our staff and I. When we started TMSM years back, it was always about making others happy and being able to put a little extra Disney Magic into their day, and the magazine is just another way to do that. It’s coming full circle, and we’re thrilled.
So what’s next? Hopefully more folks purchasing the magazine (it’s only 99 cents for a couple more weeks), taking a little time off from it to spend with family, but then getting right back to work to bring you another fabulous magazine for August. I already have ideas on what my articles will be about, so I’m ready to get started soon. A little family time is good, I’ve been so tired lately with working late into the night, that I needed a little break to regroup. The 4th of July was a nice time with family and friends, something that we really enjoyed and needed. The summer is going by fast and before we know it we’ll be working on Halloween and Fall info for TMSMonthly and our sites, so I’m trying to take it all in and enjoy it while I can! Like I said, family time….. with work in between!
We thank you all so very much for giving our magazine a try, and for helping to spread the word. Word of mouth and reader feedback has been key to getting the word out about our new project, and I’m thankful for your input. If you haven’t gotten your very own TMSMonthly, you can do so here, www.themainstreetmonthly.com/store. As always, thanks for keeping up with all that we do, we appreciate it very much! Till next week, sending you blessings, hugs and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
