During my recent WDW visit I celebrated my birthday with some Disney Magic. Upon check in at the resort I was given a birthday button to wear all week. From the moment I put on the button until the moment I took it off I was wished Happy Birthday by cast members and guests. The most fun was when another guest who was celebrating their birthday extended wishes to me. I started to watch for other people’s buttons as I waited in lines and walked around so I could wish them a Happy Birthday. One cast member sang Happy Birthday to me to the tune of Yo Ho! from the Pirates of the Caribbean! while I was walking to one of the bus stops.
As I looked around for other birthday buttons I started to really notice all of the buttons other guests were wearing. Happy Birthday, Just Married, Just Engaged, and 1st Visit were the most popular. We also saw a lot of family reunion buttons as well. It was amazing to see all the people who were celebrating events while visiting the parks.
Some of the restaurants gave me a free cupcake with a candle for my dessert and at Chef Mickey’s I even got a birthday card signed by Mickey and friends. This was my first time celebrating an event in a Disney Park and I had a lot of fun because of all the other people who took the time to make it magic! If you have something to celebrate while you are visiting the parks visit guest services to get your button and start celebrating!
