The Grand Floridian opened on June 28, 1988 as the Grand Floridian Beach Resort, the resort changed names to it’s current name in 1997. The resort has six buildings with a combined 867 guest rooms. In 2013 Disney Vacation Club completed an expansion on the Grand Floridian’s property and opened the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which has 147 villas and studios. The resort is home to several dining locations including Victoria & Albert’s, Narcoossee’s, the Grand Floridian Café and 1900 Park Fare. Additional facilities located on the Grand Floridian’s property include Senses Spa and Fitness Center, the Ivy Trellis Salon, a convention center and Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.
