1908141_10200386897832576_4940349566197728183_nPocahontas was Disney’s 33rd animated feature film. The character and the events she goes through are very loosely based on the actual historical figure. As the daughter of a Native American Chief, she is Disney’s first American princess,  Originally a turkey named Redfeather was to be her sidekick. Disney  artist took some unique liberties with the settings gepgraphy, there are NO waterfalls in the Tidewater region of Virginia especially near Jamestown where the first settlers including John Smith built there original encampment.
