From the Oh My Disney blog
Some of our favorite memories were forged during family vacations to a Disney Park. Whether it was waking up at the crack of dawn for Magic Morning, experiencing our favorite attractions (this writer prefers Haunted Mansion), or giggling as ice cream sundaes dripped all over our clothes, Disney Parks memories stick with us for life. If you’ve gone to a Disney Park with your family, we’re sure you’ve experienced most (or all) of these things, too:
You spend the dinner before you leave debating and perfecting your FASTPASS strategy for the next day.
You can’t sleep the night before your vacation because you are too excited to sleep.
Inevitably, you sleep in and scramble to get out the door at least close to your planned time. Oops.
As soon as you get into the line for your first attraction, at least one person announces they need to use the bathroom.
You get chocolate on your face while eating a Mickey Ice Cream Bar, whether you’re a parent, a child, or somewhere in between.
You always rush to see your photos from Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and laugh at your serious, concentrated faces.
No matter the age, everyone in your family gets a spooky chill down their spine when the Haunted Mansion room starts to descend.
The song from the Mad Tea Party gets stuck in your head every. single. time. The only cure is going on it’s a small world, which has the only song catchy enough to kick “The Unbirthday Song” outta there.
You comment on the smells of Soarin’ Over California every single time. “Oooooh! Pine trees!” “Oranges!”
You spend at least 10 minutes debating your Splash Mountain photo poses, and normally at least one person messes up. Guess you’ll have go on the attraction one more time?
You belt “A Whole New World” or another Disney ballad at some point. It just happens.
The person with the highest score on Toy Story Midway Mania! gets bragging rights for at least two days. (The same rule applies to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, naturally.)
You make a beeline for your favorite color on Dumbo the Flying Elephant. You can’t articulate why this matters to you, but it’s an instinct you’ve always had.
