First off, I know I’m behind on getting my Loot Crate review out and I apologize for all those that look forward to reading my review. This month’s crate was by far, one I was so excited to get. The crate’s theme is Covert, all types of things that go along with Secret Agents. Being a fan of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and knowing there was going to be a special AOS item in the crate I was on pins and needles waiting. I was not disappointed at all by this month’s shipment. Start singing the Johnny Rivers song “Secret Agent Man” and lets see what this month’s crate contained!!!!
This review will self destruct in 5 minutes so read it fast.
The Loot Crate seemed very full this month with lots of great items. The first thing that always jumps right out is the shirt. This month shirt features a image inspired from the greatest spy ever, James Bond. He always liked his Martini shaken not stirred. The shirt shows the photo shutter with him sadly looking at his stirred Martini, poor Bond. Created by Loot Crate Labs.
Next up is this really cool Field Agent Blink Time Wrist Watch, or Stealth Watch. This watch only displays the time when you press the face, but then it goes away so that no one sees you if you are hiding or on a mission. This item is from 50 Fifty Gifts.
Next up, the classic kids book, Mad Libs has a spy version. This is a great way to pass the time when you are on a stakeout and waiting for something exciting to happen. This comes from Penguin Books.
This is my absolute favorite item from Loot Crate ever. This is an Exclusive Replica Agents of SHIELD Lanyard. This badge is similar to the one shown during the first season of Agents of SHIELD. I’m attending the MegaCon this coming weekend in Orlando, and plan to wear this around my neck. This comes to us from EFX Collectibles.
Next is a Paracord Survival Bracelet. I’m sure you have seen these paracord bracelets over the last few years as they have become pretty popular. There are many cool things about these, first, you would never believe how much cord is actually in one of these bracelets. Inside the cord, is even more string that could be used for many different things, i’m talking many many feet. The cord is the actual cord used for parachutes and this is military grade so it’s very strong. Just the thing a secret agent needs on them, you never know when you need a string to save a life or tie up an individual. Comes to us from Loot Crate Labs.
You may not even know about the sci-fi series from Canada called ORPHAN, but you can learn about it now. The comic is about a girl and her clone doppelgangers. This is an exclusive variant cover for Loot Crate subscribers and another one to add to my collection. This comic is from IDW Comics.
Everyone knows a spy needs to take a lot of notes, but needs a pad of paper small enough to fit in his pocket or get rid of in a hurry. This 2-pack of Special Agent Dossier Notebook is just what you need. Just make sure whatever you use to write in the book is disappearing ink, so that no one else knows what you put in there. From Field Notes.
Like every crate, there is the monthly magazine, the monthly button that is a reflection of the theme and also a few different note cards. The one card gives you more options of how to use the paracord bracelet and all the possibilities that you can do with it. The 2nd card is good for a FREE digital download of Ninjax #1 from Valiant Entertainment.
The magazine of course dealt with all things that go with the theme. Even the inside page calls you Agent 1337 and explains that our status has been compromised. They have a great article about Spies from the Silver Screen including James Bond and Austin Powers. The next article was about Metal Gears through the years. Great read!!!
That is the end of my review. I did lie, this review won’t self destruct, but it sounded like a good thing to include in the review. Like I said this was an awesome Loot Crate to get. If you haven’t signed up yet for the monthly subscription, I highly encourage you to do so. If not for you, everyone has a gamer / geek in their life that will absolutely love this. The cost of a crate even with shipping is under $20 for 1 month. If you subscriber to more months, the price goes down.
Next month’s Loot Crate theme is FANTASY:
