There are so many delicious treats to enjoy while visiting Walt Disney World. Whenever my mom comes to visit, her favorite treat to get are the Cinnamon Glazed Almonds. The smell of the warm cinnamon coming from the cart just draws you in. You can’t help to buy a bag or two to share. Being a local, I can’t buy these treats all the time or I would be rolling around Disney World, so I always save this treat for when my mom comes for a visit. I bet she didn’t know that!

Anyways, I found this picture and recipe on The Disney Chef and I thought I would share it with all of you. I bet these would make your house smell absolutely delicious while they are cooking! You can make these for a holiday party or bag them up and give them out as treats. Whatever you decide, enjoy!

Ingredients
1/3 cup butter
2 egg whites
Up to 2 teaspoons salt
1 cup granulated white sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon
16 ounces whole almonds

Directions
Preheat oven to 325⁰.  Melt butter in oven-safe bowl or cup, about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat egg whites with an electric mixer with salt until frothy.  Gradually add sugar and beat vigorously until the mixture is thickened and stiff peaks form.  Add cinnamon and beat until fully blended.  Fold in almonds.  Pour in butter and stir.

Gently pour mixture onto foil-lined cookie sheet and spread the mixture to a single layer of nuts.  Bake for 10 minutes, stir, and return to oven for another 10 minutes.  Repeat 4-5 times, for a total cooking time of 40-50 minutes, or until mixture has glazed onto almonds and almonds are crisp.  Mixture will froth and foam during the early stages of baking, but will bake onto the nuts towards the end of the baking time.

Serve warm or at room temperature
