Here we are, the last Wednesday update for 2014… and what a year it’s been! You all have been on this journey with me for over 6 months now, and I so appreciate the continued interest and support. Christmas has come and gone, and a new year is almost upon us. It’s amazing how fast time flies.
Christmas in Florida has been different for us as you know, but going back North was just what I needed to put me into the Christmas spirit. The weather is a big reason why it finally felt like Christmas. As we were driving further and further North, you can see the change in scenery and feel the temperature decline, and boom, Christmas finally hit. Took it long enough! We got into town after an 18 hour drive, we were exhausted but happy to be back in Michigan.
Over Christmas break, we did some visiting with family and friends, had a nice holiday, and spent some time going to our favorite places to shop and eat. Yes, I missed the food at home, the pizza and Chinese food in Michigan is so much better than what they have in Florida, so we ate probably more than we should have. On Christmas day we got some Disney magic in by watching the Disney Christmas Celebration on ABC, and were super excited that we made it on camera! Spending time with family, to me, is even better than spending Christmas at Disney World. My heart longed to be home, and I’m so glad I was able to make it back. Now that it’s over, I feel a little sad. I looked forward to our family visit for so long, and now it’s about done. While I miss the weather and the Disney atmosphere in Florida, I know I will miss my family more. It’s a hard one.
All in all, this year has been a good one. Taking a huge leap and moving near Disney to better TMSM was not easy for me, as you know. But, I do believe everything happens for a reason and God has a plan for us all. My journey has just begun, and I’m hopefully optimistic to see what 2015 holds for my family and I. I can’t thank you all enough for all the love and support you’ve given us and TMSM this past year. You all are a blessing and I’m grateful for all of our Main Streeters, all over the world, and of course our support staff who work so hard. I’m humbled and honored that you believe in what we do, and promise to keep bringing you all the best we have to offer in the coming year. Till next week… and next year… See ya real soon! ~M
