A Frozen Surprise At School By Guest Blogger
me. One ordinary day last December turned out to be the most exciting day of
2013.
Our principal announced that a very special guest would be stopping by to visit
our school at the end of the day. As the students gathered in the lobby, I braced
myself with anticipation. Thoughts of who it could be raced through my mind. Our
principal began to introduce the guest and I knew it could only be one person.
The kids exploded with deafening excitement. I couldn’t believe my eyes, there he
was, Kristoff, I mean, Jonathan Groff.
How did Jonathan Groff end up visiting an elementary school in a small rural town
in Pennsylvania? Jonathan’s mother Julie is a physical education teacher in our
school district and Jonathan is a graduate of our high school.
Jonathan treated us to a rendition of Baby, It’s Cold Outside” accompanied by his
elementary music teacher. He presented our school with a signed Frozen poster
and led us in a sing a long of We Wish You a Merry Christmas. When it was over,
Jonathan gave each of us a signed photo and posed for pictures with students and
staff.
Each time I hear someone talk about Frozen, I smile and remember that special
afternoon. Oh, and I take a peek at my special Frozen photo.
Hi Main Street gang! My name is Carolyn Crouse. I was a stay at home mom for 9
years and went back to work a couple of years ago. I’m currently a reading
teacher, and although every day brings new challenges, I love my job. As you may
have guessed, I love all things Disney and continue to pass that love to my
daughter. Thank you for letting me share my story with you!
Peace, love and Disney, Carolyn
