Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! It’s that time again to catch up on what’s been going on in our world for the past week. First, let me say how much I appreciate the amazing feedback and support you’ve given us, it’s very much appreciated! We started this journey so many months ago, and the fact that you followed along and still keep up with us is wonderful, thank you! So lets chat, shall we?
Wow, it’s been a busy, busy week! So busy that my days are running together and I forget what day it is and what’s on my schedule next. Last Friday night we were invited out to Sea World to experience their Christmas festivities and had a great time. I’m a Disney girl true and true, but I do have to say, Sea World REALLY knows how to do Christmas right. The shows were outstanding, the decorations were beautiful, and the boys and I got to pet some of the animals from the live nativity scene. We did a video showing highlights of our evening and I’m attaching it below, so be sure to scroll down and check it out!
Ok, back to Disney fun. We finally made it over to Epcot to check out the Christmas decorations and such there. We also caught part of the Candlelight Processional too, which was something to see. Christmas at Disney Parks is really beautiful, and we’re really blessed to be able to go and take it all in. Speaking of holiday fun….. My goodness, we got to see the Christmas Parade taping at the Magic Kingdom on Monday and Tuesday! All the behind the scenes happenings was something I was always curious about, and I was so excited to see how they put the parade together firsthand. It’s really quite a production! On Monday they shot the stage performances, and it was raining…. and raining… and raining. For the sake of good reporting, we stood there in the rain for hours! It’s funny, because as soon as the cameras come on, they announce for everyone to put away their umbrellas and ponchos and pretend that it’s sunny and warm out. Yes, we had to act! They also had us do a scene to pretend like something was coming in the air towards the Castle and we had to follow it with our eyes/heads and give a “wow” face! Well, we have no idea what we were following or what we were cheering for, it’s a special effect for the show, so I have to wait until Christmas Day to find out!
Day two of the parade shoot was so much better. Cool weather, abundant sunshine, just a perfect day. They were actually filming the floats that day, so we got to see how that worked. We stood along the street and watched the cameras go by and such, and they kept telling us that we’d be on tv Christmas morning! I’m pretty excited to see how it all comes together, and my boys say they can’t wait to see if they catch their Mama on national tv! We shall see, even if it’s for a half a second, I think they’d be good with that! Oh, and we also got to see the debut of the amazing Cinderella Coach from the upcoming live action film as well as the new Baymax float! So much fun was had, I’m so glad I got to be there! Christmas is fast approaching and we have so much to do between then and now. Our schedules are full for the next few weeks, but most of it I’m looking forward to. Like I’ve said previously, it still doesn’t feel like Christmas, but all the festivities and such for the past week have helped with that. We’re going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tomorrow for the first time, so I’ll tell you about that next week! As always, I thank you for reading and following us on our journey. My family and I appreciate each and every one of you! Till next week….. God bless, and see ya real soon! ~M

We went to Illuminations last night and saw the special Christmas ending. Illuminations has always been my favorite fireworks display at WDW, never thought it could be topped. Last night, it was topped!! Awesome is how I can describe it. Be sure to see it!
