Thank you to our friend, Meghan Blair for providing this information about the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party.

Ok so I’m sure we have all experienced the ‘crush’: waiting for an hour or more to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, with everyone side by side, some people standing, some people sitting. There are people with kids on their shoulders standing in front of you, its hot and humid. There are people all up in your personal space, and there is honestly no place to sit or stand comfortably. I know I spent many many years waiting in that ‘crush’. Well I’m going to let you in on a secret: there, is now another way to experience the Wishes fireworks show at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. You can now experience Wishes with a perfect unobstructed view, while comfortably sitting in a chair with plenty of room to move and walk around, a guarantee of no one stealing you spot if you do move, and all while enjoying an all you can eat dessert buffet. How is this possible you ask? It’s one of Magic Kingdom’s best-kept secrets; it’s called the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party! The dessert party is not widely advertised, mostly people hear about it through word of mouth. Reservations for the party usually only open 1-2 months in advance and they go fast! Now I warn you that the dessert party does have a price range of $15-$35.99. I know to some people that might seem like a lot of money to watch some fireworks, but I promise you this is a one time experience that is sooooo worth it!

Like I said before reservations for Wishes usually only open up 1-2 months* in advance, so I recommend that as soon as it gets to be 2 months till your trip start checking for reservations. You can call 1-800-WDW-DINE (1-800-939-3463) or go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/, select dining event, select Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party from the drop down menu, then just pick the date you would like to attend. Now if you are lucky enough to get reservations through the phone or Internet, you are going to have to pre-pay for this event. I’m warning you now that the likelihood of you getting reservations on the first try is slim to none, but keep trying!!! Keep trying all the way up to your vacation. Keep trying once you get to Disney, and if that doesn’t work, you can do what I did the first time I went to the dessert party. We walked over to the Tomorrowland Terrace and I found a cast member and asked if there was any open seating left in the party, and miracle of miracles there was! I have never whipped out my credit card so fast! The dessert party starts one hour prior to the Wishes fireworks, so if you have not been able to get a reservation I suggest getting over to the terrace around the same time to see if there is any empty space available. Just remember there is never a guarantee that you will be able to just walk up and get in, so always try to make a reservation first.

Now here is a look at what you might find at the dessert party, just keep in mind that the dessert list is subject to change
