Thanksgiving Day is here, (and almost over for some)! It’s a day where families come together to enjoy a nice dinner, watch football, maybe play a board game, but mostly just to be with each other and give thanks for all we have throughout the year. This year is my first year away from my family since basically birth. Being here in Florida puts a new perspective on holidays for me, but I do believe it makes me even more thankful than before, if that makes sense.
All throughout the year, we get busy, and maybe take for granted the people in our lives, or just forget how important it is to have good family and friends around. It’s good to stop and think, and really take in all the people and things that we have to be thankful for. I know sometimes at family dinners, we used to go around and tell everyone what we’re each thankful for, even if it’s just the small things. This year, we don’t have that option (except for the 4 of us), but I’d still like to tell you all, our extended Disney Family, how grateful we are for each and every one of you. If it weren’t for our Main Streeters, TMSM and our other sites wouldn’t be nearly as successful or as fun to run. Even on days when it’s hard to push forward, or difficult to find good content (or when I get writers block), our readers are the very reason that we keep moving forward, and we thank you for that.
On Thursdays, we always mention various random acts of kindness, and being that it’s Thanksgiving, this one goes out to you. Thank you all for being so amazingly supportive of our efforts. It’s your kindness that matters to us the whole year though, you’re the best truly! Also, Happy Thanksgiving to my family and friends back home in Michigan who I miss so very much this year. My heart is with you there, and I can’t wait to see you all soon. God Bless you all, Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours! ~M
