Yesterday the cast of The Lion King on Broadway released a new video covering the hit song “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors that we think you would love to watch! The cast has made headlines for their impromptu performances on an airplane and a New York subway and teamed up Disney.com’s music blog, Disney Playlist, to create the amazing acoustic cover – listen closely and you’ll even hear a little Hakuna Matata mashup towards the end!
The video was created as a part of the blog’s Playlist Sessions series, which delivers intimate acoustic performances from leading artists and stars Aaron Nelson who plays Simba, Nteliseng Nkhela who plays Rafiki, and Mduduzi Madela, Kyle Lamar Mitchell, S’bu Ngema, Rema Webb, Sindisiwe Nxumalo, Lindiwe Dlamini, and Derrick Davis from the ensemble.
