Eat To The Beat Concert Series at Epcot: Hanson

September 28, 2014 , , , , ,

Beginning today and through tomorrow, Hanson will take the stage at Epcot’s Eat to the Beat concert series.  In addition to their musical performance, the brothers will also be bringing their own craft beer to the International Food & Wine Festival.

The brother’s American Pale Ale is called Mmmhops, reminds me of their hit from 1997 MMMBop.  The beer has only been available mostly in their home state of Oklahoma.  Mmmhops will be on sale at the Food & Wine Festival, and during a meet-and-greet with the band. That’s right, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson will host a beverage seminar at 10 a.m. Monday (Sept. 29).  They will also sign the bottles during the meet and greet, but only til 11 a.m. so make sure you get there early.

Here is a brief bio of the band…

Hanson is an American band from Tulsa, Oklahoma formed by brothers Isaac (guitar, bass, piano, vocals), Taylor (keyboards, piano, guitar, drums, vocals), Zac (drums, piano, guitar, vocals). Supporting members include Dimetres Collins (keyboards, guitar), and William Birkhead (Bass) who have been with the band since 2007. They are best known for the 1997 hit song “MMMBop” from their major label debut album Middle of Nowhere, which earned three Grammy nominations. Despite the enormous commercial success ofMiddle of Nowhere, the band suffered from the merger that eliminated their label, Mercury Records. The group was moved to Island Def Jam Music Group, which they eventually left after a conflict with the label. Hanson has sold over 16 million records worldwide and have had 8 top 40 albums and 6 top 40 singles in the US, as well as 8 top 40 singles in the UK. The band now records under its own label, 3CG Records.

The daily show times for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series take place at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM. All concerts take place in the American Gardens Theater which is found in the Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion. The shows are free and included with Epcot park admission.
