Last night a small fire in a storage room at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge prompted a evacuation of Boma. Though guests on social networking forums stated the entire lodge was evacuated, Orlando news outlets are stating only the restaurant was evacuated. The fire started in a storage room about 6:45pm. At about 8pm guests and cast members were allowed back in.
Reedy Creek spokesman Bo Jones stated it was a small fire, with a large amount of smoke and no one was hurt. Jones also stated “The cause of the fire is under investigation.” Jones also said the fire “likely started near a paint can in a storage room.”
