Cars Fruit Snack by Janel Adani
So, I don’t know about you, but I have a pretty picky toddler. He just turned three years old and is very picky about what he wants to eat. He used to love fruit. He would eat grapes by the handful and apples all the time, but lately he doesn’t want to have anything to do with it. So what is a mom to do? Well this mom goes to Pinterest looking for fun and cool ideas to serve fruit to my fussy 3 year old.
This simple recipe caught my eye because it has 2 of my son’s favorite fruits and it’s shaped like a car. What toddler boy doesn’t like cars? How about Lightening McQueen? My son loves anything with wheels, so I’m hoping this one is a success. You can use this recipe for just one child as an afternoon snack or make a whole bunch and share at a playdate or party.
What You Need
1 apple
1 bag of grapes
1 package of toothpicks or you can use cut up straws
1 package decorative toothpicks
Instructions
⦁ Cut your apple into bite size slices
⦁ Stick a toothpick (or cut up straws) into the back end of the apple and then stick another toothpick in the front end of the apple
⦁ Stick grapes on end of toothpicks
⦁ Stick decorative toothpick into the top of the apple
That’s it! Super simple and a healthy snack that your toddler is sure to enjoy!
