This Amazing Space Mountain Engagement is Out of This World

I saw this story the other day on the Oh My Disney blog and just decided it was good story to share with all The Main Streeters.

There are few things we love more than a Disneyland engagement: the magic, the surroundings, the sheer joy of the moment. Basically, you had us at Disneyland. We came across what we think is one of the greatest engagement stories ever, and wanted to share it with you!

Meet Disney fans (and adorable couple) Lindsay and Craig.

Says Lindsay, “We have had Annual Passes for most of our four-year relationship, and many of our early dates involved watching movies like UP and Tangled.”

So right away we know they’re our kind of people, and then this happened:

THE SHIRT! HER COMPLETE LACK OF REALIZATION (AND GREAT POSE)! WE CAN’T.

So what did Lindsay think when she got off the ride and checked out the picture? Well, we asked her and she told us:
“I couldn’t believe it—even though we had talked about getting engaged, I was totally surprised. I had no idea this is how it would happen! As soon as I saw the photo on the preview screen when we got off the ride, I turned around and Craig got down on one knee. Needless to say, I was over the moon!”

Le sigh. Young love.

Here’s what Craig told us about the planning process:
“I had originally planned to take the ring out during the picture (to see the glitter from the flash), but my coworkers talked me out of that risky endeavor. I picked up the ring early last week, and then headed home to work on the shirt. After an hour-and-a-half fight with my iron, the shirt was complete, and I hid it in my closet along with the ring.”

Iron fighting is basically the modern day equivalent of dragon slaying. Fact. This whole thing is too adorable. We wish Craig and Lindsay all the best and they wanted everyone to know that they wouldn’t turn down an engagement party at Club 33 or the Dream Suite, if offered. Smart and cute, what a pair.
