New Limited Edition Haunted Mansion Magic Band Available at the Magic Kingdom

Today Walt Disney World Merchandise has released a new limited edition Magic Band! Following the popular Star Wars Weekend Yoda and Darth Vader, and the Frozen Summer custom Magic Bands, Walt Disney World has released a Limited Edition Haunted Mansion Inspired Magic Band! Like with all the solid color Magic Bands sent to resort guests and AP’s the Limited Edition bands can be used over and over for the life of the bands battery (about 2-3 years per the FCC filing).

1indexindex2index4Starting today (8/22/14) the Haunted Mansion band will be sold in the Magic Kingdom at select locations. Like with the Star Wars and Frozen bands you must be present to purchase this band and you can not have others buy it for you. The Haunted Mansion Band is a limited release but we have not heard how many are being released.
We are trying to confirm the price but as the majority of limited bands have run between $19.99 and $29.99 that price range. Once we have confirmation on the price (and if it makes any neat noises like the Olaf and Star Wars bands) we will make sure we update you!
**UPDATE** From Main Streeter Tali M who is “in the trenches” at the MK today  “HM Magic Bands are $24.95 and they do not make any special sounds. Also, they are limit 2 per person.”

The Haunted Mansion Magic Band will be available for purchase at the following gift shops:
The Main Street Emporium
The Big Top Gift Shop
Space Mountain’s Gift Shop
Main Street Emporium
Frontier Trading Post
Mickey’s Gift Station

We have been asked WHY these can only be bought in the park and must be activated at time of purchase by the purchaser. All of the LE Magic Bands have been set up like this to help prevent scalping of the Limited Edition items on resale sites.
