In case you missed it yesterday, one of the many openings for different things coming to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World took place yesterday.
Vice President of Downtown Disney, Keith Bradford along with Cast Members and guests who gathered celebrated the official opening of the new Marketplace Boat Dock and Saratoga Bridge. This is the first of my milestones that will take place in the largest expansion in the history of Downtown Disney as it becomes Disney Springs.
The newly opened bridge will offer a way for pedestrians to be able to go back and forth from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Downtown Disney area. In addition to the bridge, the Marketplace Boat Dock, that is located near the Marketplace Bus Loop, will provide easy access for those going to the West Side and Pleasure Island. Disney has said, guests who utilize the water taxi may even learn more about what’s coming to Disney Springs.
Below is a picture taken by Darcy Clark, the Marketing Manager , Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort. She commented “One of my favorite views of Downtown Disney is from this new vantage point; with a view of the entire complex, it’s a great reminder of how much there is to see and do (which, I’ll admit, I sometimes take for granted, since I’m here every day)!”
Want to experience it for yourself? The Marketplace Boat Dock operates daily starting at 10:30 a.m., weather permitting.
